Newsletter - Winter 2007/2008

It's been another busy year here in Mallorca, to keep up with demand we now have 3 full time pilots on site all year round and a new Operations Administrator. This means we're now open 7 days a week and flying all day. The weather has been typically Mallorcan, with sunshine throughout the year, scorching temperatures, and only one or two days of rain so far.

Winter Weather Forecast

We're looking forward to another mild winter here, with warm winter sunshine, and not much rain. The Climate Statistics show that during the winter Mallorca is twice as warm as the UK, and has only half the amount of rain fall the UK has!!! That coupled with the fact that we have over an hour more sunlight per day mean it's a perfect place to avoid the Winter Blues. There are still over 20 flights a day from the UK to Mallorca so it's never been easier to escape

Rudolph Grounded

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer has, allegedly, been grounded due to a legal infraction (apparently due to displaying a red landing light at the front, instead of the permitted white one). MENORCA Christmas BBQ December 07
Fly out to San Luis in Menorca, for a BBQ on the airfield, overnight in the hotel and return to Son Bonet the following afternoon. Includes BBQ Party and drinks, Hotel and Breakfast. Flight time is 1 hour each way

IBIZA Summer Season Opening April 08
Fly out to Ibiza for the weekend at the opening of the summer season with its world famous night life. Includes evening meal, Nightclub Entrance, Hotel and Breakfast (optional!). Flying Time is 1 hour each way.

FORMULA 1 SPAIN (Barcelona) May 08
Fly to Barcelona for the weekend to watch the Formula 1 at the Circuit de Catalunya. Includes F1 Tickets, Helicopter Shuttle from Sabadell to the Track and back and Accommodation. 2 hours flying each way.

LE MANS 24hr June 08
Fly through France to Le Mans, land at Le Mans Airport, located next to the circuit and stay for the weekend watching the racing. Includes Le Mans 24hour Tickets, Hotel and Breakfast. 5 hours flying each way. Flying can be shared on each route between pilots.

PAMPLONA BULL RUN July 08
Fly through mainland Spain to the northern area of Pamplona to join in one of the biggest fiestas in Europe. Landing at Pamplona Airport and staying there the weekend to see how fast you can cover 800m on foot (hopefully faster than the Bulls can!!). Includes Accommodation. 4 hours flying each way. Flying can be shared on each route between pilots.

FORMULA 1 EUROPE (Valencia) August 08
For the first time, Spain will be holding 2 Formula 1 races in 2008. This is a new street race around the Port of Valencia. This is the first new street race in over 10 years. Includes F1 Tickets and Accommodation. 2 hours flying each way.

WRC CATALUNYA (Tarragona) October 08
The World Rally Championship visits the mountains near Tarragona and Port Adventura, in between stages you'll be able to fly to different areas, landing in confined spaces and watching the Rally in real time. Includes Accommodation and Entrance Fee. 1.5 hours flying each way, additional flying also on the actual rally stages.

We are closed the following days over Christmas and the New Year:

Christmas Eve 24th December
Christmas Day 25th December
Boxing Day 26th December
New Years Day 1st January
Three Kings 6th January

Apart from that we'll be open, business as usual.
